Director of Growth Marketing Job Description

Who are we looking for?

Rainforest is looking for its first Director of Growth Marketing to lead marketing strategy, brand awareness, and demand generation growth for the organization. You should be well-versed in SaaS, payments experience a plus, and someone who will thrive in a startup environment, contributing to all facets of the organization. As a Director of Growth Marketing, you will be a key function within the greater Revenue org, helping to drive the next cohort of Vertical SaaS platforms to take advantage of Rainforest’s PayFac-as-a-service offering.

What are the expectations and areas of focus for the role?

  • Build and lead a team of growth and campaign marketers focusing on vertical and industry growth strategy & tactics. Demand generation, performance marketing, ABM, and customer campaigns are just some of the functions you will be responsible for.
  • Own the marketing/inbound led pipeline number, working with the extended Revenue team to define the growth plan, channel mix, data & analytics for Rainforest’s growth function to drive net new pipeline across verticals.
  • Create, manage, and optimize paid ad campaigns to drive brand awareness, website traffic, and pipeline.
  • Develop and implement SEO strategy.
  • Identify and pitch media opportunities (podcast interviews, awards/lists, speaking engagements, written interviews, etc.) for Rainforest and key personnel, and prep Rainforest personnel for appearances.
  • Produce Rainforest’s interview series, including guest outreach and booking, preparation, editing, publishing, distribution, and promotion.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with investment analysts covering fintech and payments.
  • Partner with Ops, Sales, Customer Success, and Partnerships on the strategy needed for the business to hit its ambitious growth targets.
  • Optimize website and creative for performance and brand synergy.
  • Define and own KPIs for targets and tracking performance metrics on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Partner across functions within marketing to improve our marketing reach, efficiency, and drive outstanding customer experiences.
  • Lead the strategy for executing data-driven integrated campaigns to reach target audiences and in alignment with strategic market moments to extend reach.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team.
  • Run data-driven experiments to uplevel our messaging, approaches, and processes.
  • Organize and lead Rainforest’s events and tradeshow strategy.
